Sound separation between rooms is paramount to achieving sound environments that provide privacy and comfort that meets the intended use of the building. For many buildings, regulations require a certain degree of sound insulation for them to be fit for purpose, such as in residential and school buildings, for others it’s more a case of ensuring acoustic quality for the building occupant.
